There were two different threads, which explains my link, both about exactly the same topic. It looks like the mods merged them.

I too have had a couple of calls from Preferred Pensions telling me that they are working on behalf of the HMRC and checking to see if my 'frozen' pensions can be doing better!! I asked them to call back another time so I could research them, they did but had forgotten all about them, they called again recently, I asked them to send me an email to remind me to check my pensions as I wanted to see what their website address was so I could check them out. I have not had an email, so I googled them and came across these threads!. Glad I was cautious, I normally am, but almost believed them as they rang me at work which made me think twice. Can't wait for them to call back, but they prob won't!!
