Hide purchases in Amazon?

I'm about to purchase something for my wife from Amazon but now I'm debating whether or not to do so (no she's not in my bad books......yet
) Is there anyway that what I've bought can be hidden in my purchases? I could open another account but not really keen on doing that.
I've looked around google and amazon but there is no answer to this question. Though surely with this time of year you'd of thought they would have thought about this.

I had this problem too as I've ordered my OH something as a surprise but we use the same ebay and amazon account so he can see everything. I couldn't find any way to order privately so instead I had to transfer the money to my mum and have her order it for me, have it delivered to hers and collect it from there. A lot of hassle for a small joke present!!
Have you got anyone who can order for you if you transfer them the money?0 -
short of contacting amazon directly to remove an item from your orders list I'd suggest opening a separate account. shouldn't take too long to open and if you've got prime on your main account you can add the second account as a family member.School is important, but Rugby is importanter.0

When you think about it you are asking them to hide a purchase from yourself(your account.) I'd imagine if they did such things it would be open to all kinds of fraud.0

I opened another account with them using an alternative email address. I added my normal card, paid with it, then just deleted the card and left the account alone. Might be the way to go??0

I would have seperate accounts anyway. Sharing log-in details (even with a spouse) feels a bit dodgy. You can add Prime to a family members account anyway.0
