Parking fine at work

Right got a parking ticket at work for which they want £60 or £30 if I pay up quick. I pay £13 a month for the privelige to park. I couldn't find anywhere so parked on a grass verge. When I returned I'd got a ticket. I would normally have ignored it but because it was at work and the rules have changed I appealed rather than ignore it. Found out today that they'd rejected it saying that there's signage saying that parking on grass verges is prohibited. there was no such sign near where I had parked. I have photographic eveidence of my permit in situ and where I had parked showing no prominent signage. My question is has anyoine any experience of using popla? If I lose this appeal i'll have to pay the full £60. They have sent me the relevant paper work to appeal using Popla. The company involved is Total Parking Solutions. Any advice would be welcomed

go to Pepipoo http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=idx
they will help you
PS: its not a fine , its an unenforceable invoice0 -
thank you for your reply but I really am at a loss with this sort of stuff. My wife got a ticket in a Wickes car park a couple of years ago and we ignored but I know the rules have changed since then and as I say it being at work I thought I'd better do something. I work in a hospital BTW. Ive looked at pepipoo and it's all a bit Greek to me0

I'm interested as to why Pepipoo has been suggested? My personal suggestion would be to read the newbies thread on this forum.0

yes , I agree with that as well , but the OP has clearly missed the "stickies" at the top of the forum0

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page. Since you have already appealed I assume you have got a PoPLA code so you use the How To Win At PoPLA part of the NEWBIES thread and win.
This assumes the incident happened in England/Wales.

No you wont, POPLA decisions are only binding upon the parking company and not the motorist.
please read the sticky thread
who is/was the PPC?
if this happened at work, then why not go to pepipoo and get some of their flyers for your notice boards?
name of PPC?
have you read the sticky thread?
Was this just a windscreen ticket?
are you the registered keeper?
is this a hire/lease car?
do you live at the same address as the registered keeper?
have you had a letter in the post?
have you read the sticky thread? From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Thanks for the replies. Sorry but I really am out of my depth with these things I have read the newbie threads and just got confused. In answer to half ways questions
yes it was a windscreen sticker plastic bag job
It is a lease car so i'm not sure if i'm the registered keeper
I've had a letter in the post but have had all letters sent C/O my works address.
All I really want to know is what sort of letter do I need to send to popla what do I need to say?
btw it is the parking company who are saying i'll have to pay the full £60 should I lose the appeal of face court action.0 -

You can appeal as keeper (as opposed to registered keeper) or as driver. Since the letters are coming to you at work I am guessing the registered keeper (the lease company?) is forwarding them to you. In that case they may already have told TPS that you are the driver but it really doesn't matter.
Post 15 of the NEWBIES thread has this one which may be suitable since you pay for parking. Have a butcher's and see if it is of any use. If it is, amend it to suit your case and post it back here for the regulars to have a look at.
"Wording to use if it's a case where there was clearly no initial loss, such as if the driver DID pay/have a permit..."
The bit about saying you will have to pay if you lose at PoPLA is utter cobblers. Anyway, you are going to win so there is nowt to worry about.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
sorry to appear a bit dim fruitcake but post #15 in the newbies thraed is by coupon mad telling people to read the newbies thread. I' really am getting confused now. As for the letters coming to me that's because when I forwarded the appeal I gave my works address.0

You start in the NEWBIES thread as I advised you in my first postRead the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page. Since you have already appealed I assume you have got a PoPLA code so you use the How To Win At PoPLA part of the NEWBIES thread and win.
This assumes the incident happened in England/Wales.
... and it is not a fine.
Then you click on the words How To Win At PoPLA (post 3) and then look for post 15 of the thread that this will open.
I'm off home now but I'll check in later to make sure you have found it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0
