Experian Background Checks.

Hi All,
I've been offered a job, with a written contract, to start next week. When the contract was sent to me, it mentioned background checks for all potential new employees, with those working in certain parts of the business also needing a credit check (this job is not in the Financial sector). I have two past defaults, no CCJ's or IVA's or DMP's but since I wouldn't be working in those parts of the business I thought it wouldn't be an issue, and didn't mention the defaults.
When I accepted the job, I was asked to complete a Experian Background check form, and now I'm a little concerned that the defaults may show up in the Experian checks? The version I was asked to fill out was fairly straight forward, and asked if I had CCJ's, or had ever been bankrupt (as well as any previous convictions), but didn't ask about defaults; however, it did want my addresses for the past five years. There wasn't anywhere on the form where I could state that I had the defaults.
Does anyone happen to know if the defaults will show up, or if this background check is only concerned with CCJ's and bankruptcy?
Thanks.

I'll hold up my hands & confess that I probably invented credit checking on new employees.
No, seriously I did. This was in the early days of Experian, which wasn't all that long ago.
The company I worked for had 3000+ High St branch managers & we would often be puzzled as to why a predicted success turned out to be an utter failure.
Untill we / I had the bright idea to credit check every existing & potential manager of one of those branch's.
The results were astonishingly accurate. What we considered underperforming branch's were seemingly, mostly managed by managers with pathetic credit scores.
If you cannot manage your life, do you really think we're going to let you loose on one of our profit centres?0
