Making offers, settling &CCJs

Hello
I have a few defaults on my credit report along with some CCJs. I'd like to start finally getting back on top of things.. Slowly.
Where should I start? With defaults or CCJs?
Also, for example, I have one default from early 2009, which means in a few month it will disappear from my report, so should I bother chasing them to settle? May sound wrong but I want to clear what is best for my report etc..
With the defaults, Shoukd I chase any of them or should I wait until they contact me as one day they will drop off and I understand the closer to 6 years it gets the lower settlement they will take?
Any advice appreciated,
Thankyou x

Hi
Just as a warning if you have just got a copy of your credit file then it is possible that you will get letters chasing some of these debts dropping through the door in the next couple of weeks (because you have provided/confirmed you current address).
Are you making any payments towards any of the debts currently?
Have you had any visits from bailiffs relating to the CCJs? or have any attachment of earnings being taken from your wages (if you are in employment)?
I would focus on repaying the CCJs first (to prevent the risk of enforcement action).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Yes I have repayment plans for the CCJs. What do I do about the defaults? Wait for them...?0
