Wonga default

Hello,
I've been in debt for over seven years with lots of ups and downs, bailiffs, rubbish credit and everything else that goes with it. But after a long hard struggle I was due to finish my last payment next month and was about to be debt free!! I was then going to start trying to build my credit back up etc.
However, I decided to check my experian report to make sure there was nothing on there that I had missed. As it happens there was - a wonga debt that had defaulted the end of september of this year
I thought that loan had been paid off with a debt management plan I had been in a few years ago, but I moved house shortly afterwards and therefore didn't receive any letters they may have sent me asking for the money. (I never received any phone calls or emails off them asking)
The thing is the money isn't an issue, as of next month I will be in a position to clear that debt, but its the fact that its defaulted on my credit rating. After 7 years of struggling to get myself out of debt I thought the light at the end of the tunnel was there and now my credit has been screwed for another six years! Ugggh!
As a side note, a couple of days I received an email from wonga telling me my loan had been wiped out and that I don't need to pay them anything back!
Is there anything I can do to get this default removed from my credit rating?
Thanks

It doesn't say anything on the email about the default being removed, just that the outstanding balance has been closed.
Could it take a while to register on my Experian account?0 -
My wiped out loan was automatically removed from my credit file - it did take a couple of months though.0
