Joint Mortgage

Can you have a joint mortgage with one person having a 0 hour contract?
RBS said they wouldnt take my partners income in to account because off this, therefore her name would not be on the Mortgage and because of that her name will also not be able to be on the deeds.
I earn enough with my out goings to get the mortgage in my own name. But we want the mortgage in both our name so the deeds are in both our names as we are paying half the deposit and half the monthly payments.
Thanks for your advice

Some lenders accept the income from a joint borrower on a zero hours contract.
Despite that, if you can afford the mortgage based on your income alone, there should be no reason why you can't have a joint mortgage and joint ownership with her income being ignored.I am a mortgage broker.
