Mattresses again .. couple of choices

Hi all, I'm on the hunt for a medium-firm pocket sprung memory foam mattress... budget in the region of £300-£500 absolute tops.
The one I've found comfy is a 'Your china' fusion, but I'm a bit concerned about the amount of VOC's you get from Chinese memory foam and glues. Also, guessing this is just a substandard china mattress? The way they've gone overboard on the cover is concerning me, with suede corner edges etc.
Second, I've seen the snug range, and whilst I've heard they are excellent, the 7.5cm memory foam in the possible 'pocket sprung 2000' or 1200 is a bit concerning in that its too deep? (why would they do that?).
So, I've just come across a Kaymed ikool Marquis at £500.. seemed nice, and looks to be substantially lower than others prices I've seen for that matress (but at the very top of my budget). But, I don't know too much about the company or their mattress quality.
Can anyone offer advice?

Kaymed make an excellent product, they even produce the memory foam themselves not buying it from a supplier.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

I must admit, I'm tempted with the kaymed. It felt like quality.. admittedly its at the upper end of my budget, but an extra £150 for something I buy once every few years only isn't that bad really.0

well, I went back and I like the kaymed. Its listed as a 'marquis' in the shop, but I cant find the equivalent one on the kaymed site (due to retailers different names etc). Its an Ikool gel memory foam 1800 spring... that's all I know.
I also like the feel of the 'your china' fusion, but are concerned about the gases from the Chinese made foam and glues. But, its cheaper !
Anyway, think will get the kaymed. Going to try it on a slatted base, and see how I get on and if I need a board with it. I fancy buying the base too, ut at £500 on top for base and headboard, I don't think I will. I also think the base (also apparently a kaymed) felt cheaply made.
The only thing that concerns me... as this is a gel/foam combo (and therefore cooler), wll it be too cool in the winter? I don't find memory foam hot in any way, and are kinda concerned that gel memory foam will be too cold.0
