Xbox one price in January?

Do you reckon the price will go up in January or will there be better deals to be had?
I am in no great rush to get an Xbox one, but I would quite like it for GTA 5 and COD.
I could even wait out to spring time if the price was to come down again.
A few years ago I got my 360 for £250 with 4 games, would like a similar deal again, although that may be some time away.

I think it's going to be at least another two years before it's £250 with four games, perhaps £250 next Xmas period with, say, one or two latest games.
The console has still got to last the generation which could be anywhere between 5-7 years yet - the big price drops have already happened so it'll only be a slow and gradual drop now until the end of the generation unless they bring out a "slim-line" console, which usually happens around 2-3 years in - this will of course push up prices on the new design console, or maintain the current price for a longer period whilst the old model is sold out and manufacturing stop on it.Professional Data Monkey

Really? As long as that?!
I am hoping that the sales dry up from January onwards for a while .......in hope that the price goes down.
I am not as much of a gamer anymore and cant justify spending 300, but 250 is probably acceptable if I had a game or two.
GTA 5 is what I want really. Dont care about much else :rotfl:0 -
I don't see it being that price for the foreseeable in the new market - simply put the cost of the console to produce is high & the cost of the games is also high. We've seen some "flash" bundles for under £300 but I don't see the console sliding under £300 regularly this side of the summer, it's not struggling that much.
I've been proven wrong in the past, but I don't see it happening any time soon.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

Maybe longer - if you look at the 360 as an example, a basic console (4gb slimline) was £100 at the end of the generation. A 250gb (again, slimline) at the end of the generation was around £150-£180, but I can't remember the exact price. This was just prior to the Xbox One release.
Even half way through the Xbox 360 lifespan it could be anywhere up to £250 for a new model console without any games, this wasn't the slimline, but it was the better looking shiny black one.
You could get the old version of the console second hand for something like £60-£80 - but they really did look hammered physically, at least all the ones I saw in the likes of CEX etc.Professional Data Monkey
