Lidl 3 Bird Roast - anyone tried it?

Hello
I've bought this for a Christmas lunch I'm hosting on the 28th but I was chatting with someone a few days ago and she didn't rate it at all!
She said she had to cook it for much longer than the time recommended as her meat thermometer was not where she wanted and as a result all the glaze dried off.
So if you have had it, any tips? Or should I buy a chicken as plan b?
Thanks x

  • I bought it last year and we didn't like it. Maybe cook one for a test meal and see what you think?
  • No....but we had the 3 fish roast last night for tea. Won't be having it again!

Funny, I was going to post because someone recommended it to me.

Not that I would touch it with a bargepole, flesh is not for me.

Same here, no taste to it at all. Don't rate the 3 Bird Roast either.

I have heard good reports about the Aldi 3 bird roast, I am actually quite surprised to hear that the Lidl one is so bad as they usually compare nicely with each other on their special foods.
  • I tried the Aldi one, really liked it, with no problems with the glaze (delicious) and nice moist meat.

That was our experience, too. Very nice.
