Mortgage and default on account

Hi
My husband has a default on his account from oct 2009 for £350 due to an error on our point where a dd hadn't been cancelled and kept being taken, in the mean time we moved and wasn't aware of the issue. However, we are now wanting to get a mortgage. We both earn good money and been told we could get a mortgage for £200k plus but not sure this default will have a major impact any advise greatly received,...xx
