I eventually looked up 'Anglo Saxon pronunciation' on wikipedia and found that the first bit is pronounced as two syllables - say-ax-win. So now we know!

I was well off - I was pronouncing it see-swin in my head. Don't know how I came up with that?

Saying that, I had trouble with 'Hermione' and 'Siobhan' until a few years ago 464432.gif

Amani is the name I wanted to call my daughter, it is an Arabic name but my hubby ended up calling her Zaynab, which I also love.

Big fan of the screen goddess with curves. She had such a ballsy attitude.
