Barclaycard 1 year into a dmp

I will call stepchange again tomorrow, I have tried calling barclaycard but failed the security questions, as haven't rang them for years. Should I write to them ?
Thanks
I'm sure when I called them recently I had the same problem, but I think they were able to raise alternative security questions using the 'random info from your credit file' method. Perhaps worth trying them again, explaining that you can't remember the original security details and seeing if there's an alternative method they can use to verify you.0 -
Fuming with BC - statement has arrived with an interest increase after SC resent our DMP and we spoke to them. All nice on the phone and then a crucifying interest rate on the statement. At least !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask (sorry to cliche but it suits me to think of BC as highway robbers and smiling assassins. I think I may have to go the way of token payments for a bit!DMP since August 2011
DFD January 2018 hopefully sooner :j

Hi, just wanted to buck the trend a little here and say that actually I have nothing but positive things to say about Barclaycard.
I have two frozen credit card accounts with them. One is a former Egg card, the other is a Platinum Barclaycard and when I entered into my DMP in March, Barclaycard froze interest on both and accepted my small token payments. As of today, I have had two calls within the last month about both cards informing me that although my circumstances have changed and my payments have increased slightly, the payments are still below the minimum I would be paying if interest had not been frozen, therefore they will continue accepting payments for now and consider whether they sell my debt on. They will, however, default me this coming month (Which is good, as anyone else knows that Barclaycard put the dreaded "AP" marker on your credit report until you've paid it off and that hangs around like the worst smell ever).
They were very polite and understanding and in fact said they were grateful to me for going about things the right way and trying to get stuff sorted. They thanked me for submitting an up to date SOA so they could see what I can and can't afford to pay and therefore they are happy I am doing all I can to make good my debt responsibilities.
And for the first time in years, I don't feel weighed down by my debt, even though it remains over thirty grand because I know I am paying it off as quickly as I'm able. It is good, from my perspective, to have received acknowledgement of that from Barclaycard.
Oh, and no, I've not tried to get CPP back on my Eggcard. I don't know if I ever had it, and I don't want to nudge Barclaycard about it until they've sold my debt on!!Original Total: £34200.78 / Current Total: £24017.00 (July 2017) -29.88%!
DMP started March 2014. DFD: November 20250
