Scam??

Just had a call from a blocked number claiming I had won a weekend break through a competition I entered on FB. The woman had quite a strong European accent and I have terrible mobile signal at work so I couldn't really work out what she was saying, but she read my email address to me (she already had it) and asked if this was correct, and that she would send me an email with more information. No email received as yet.
I've had a look but can't see anything that has ended in the past month that fits the criteria of weekend break entered through Facebook so a bit lost on this one.
I'm assuming it's a scam, but can't see why a scammer would just ring up and confirm an email address that they already have?
Any thoughts on this one please guys?
Thank you

Thanks snakepilsen
I did have a look at that one as I did enter, but the terms say drawn on the 3rd Nov and notified within 7 days so I scratched that one off. The more I look through them all, the more certain I am that it was some kind of bizarre scam.
Would have been my first holiday win too0 -

There is this one or it could maybe be an advent that has different prizes each day
Good luck anyway0 -

I had a funny phone call once from someone asking me to confirm my details to do with a competition. I said my details to them but there was every chance that they didn't already have them. They then tried to sell me a mobile phone contract. Hope it is something much more hopeful for you!Wins of 20210

Got this very call tonight.
They knew my name , date of birth and post code - didn't let them get any further as I told them they would not be getting any information from me as I could not verify who they were.
Apparently I had ''nearly'' won an I-phone 5 in an online competition.0
