I doubt that Osborne cares about such those nuances.
Agreed. Those horrible public sector workers are the root of all evil and a complete waste of space, employed in the private sector they will become the highly skilled professionals that will help make this country great again.
So you don't want to employ highly skilled professionals to collect tax from those who would rather not pay their share? who are you going to employ to do this then and how effective will they be?0 -

In areas of tax you need highly skilled collectors, they have to be as wily and clever as the accountants mega rich people and company's employ to evade/avoid paying it.0 -

Those accountants usually used to work for the tax office.
The solution is simple. Put people that work in the tax office on commission.0 -

You have misunderstood my post. I was trying to illustrate the absurdity of the Osborne perspective that (to use your example) tax experts employed by Government are horrible public servants, but employ the same people in the private sector and they are deemed suddenly more worthy.
This is the likely outcome of public spending cuts as skilled jobs just get moved to the private sector but are still needed.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
