NDR....Nationwide Debt Recovery

Both Littlewoods and Very have sneakily passed my accounts over to NDR. I believe they are in house debt collecters. My accounts were both on hold whilst they were awaiting Stepchange offer. They are getting the most money from Stepchange.

Has anybody had dealings with NDR as I've heard they are a nasty bunch to deal with? What will happen if they refuse Stepchange offer and refuse to stop interest ? Could I report them to the financial ombudsman?

They won't refuse the payments from Stepchange, though they could still choose to take further action (but probably won't).

They are not legally required to freeze interest on your debts in a DMP and so if they don't then unfortunately it is not a matter for the FO. However they may well agree to freeze interest, though it may take some extra letters from yourself before they will agree.

NDR are not any worse than any other debt collection agency really.

  • They are utterly useless though.

Hopefully they will sell your account at which point interest will be frozen.

If they won't freeze interest charges, keep complaining in writing. I think it helps them sell your account on quicker...

  • NDR are, like most DCA's, pure scumbags.

Just pass any letters to StepChange.
