Hi,
I have had an HSBC mortgage offer in place since October. Our house purchase process is dragging on and exchange before Xmas is looking highly unlikely.
Just doing a bit of nose around the mortgage rates and I notice HSBC are now offering a lower lifetime tracker rate than when we received our offer.
Do you think we'll be able swap products (subject to paying a product fee) as the change in rate makes a decent difference to us on a monthly basis? I've contacted the mortgage manager at HSBC but have no response yet.
Anyone been in a similar situation?
