Ideas on how to package this gift

Options
I have bought for a couple a bottle of Cava, 2 champagne flutes and a box of luxury champagne chocolates. However, I have no clue on the best way to package it.

If anyone can offer suggestions, it would be appreciated.

  • A decent box or basket, put the bottle in the middle. If it is on an angle, with the bottom of the bottle at the front of the box and the neck leaning backwards, you can put a flute on either side. The chocolates can then be placed in front.

Put tissue paper underneath the items and use cellophane as wrapping. Have a look on the hampers thread for some pictures. Top off with curled ribbon.
  • I do look on the hampers thread and have seen some lovely hamper ideas on there. I was just a bit panicky that the bottle would be too heavy.
  • You could pad out underneath with newspaper, to support the weight of the bottle. Just be sure to cover the newspaper with tissue paper. I've put bottles in hampers before with no problems.

I found some beautiful hampers in Waitrose, they are wooden with a little heart cut out of each end and painted in a pale bluey/grey. They were £5 each (more than I usually spend) but well worth it for slightly nicer presents. Oh, and it also came with the shredded paper so all I needed to do was arrange the presents in nicely and cellophane it!
