Mortgage with accidental CCJ!

I recently discovered that I have a County Court Judgment on my credit record as the result of a parking charge from the notorious Parking Eye in June 2013, when they claim I overstayed in a car park. They wrote to me at the time, I telephoned them to query the charge and they said they would suspend action while they looked into it. I then moved house.
I heard nothing more until last month, when they wrote to me at my new address, which they had obtained through a credit reference agency, to say I had a CCJ and I still owed them £165. I have told Parking Eye that I will pay, but have also asked them to sign a consent order to get the CCJ set aside, on the basis that the court papers went to the wrong address. They have declined.
Naturally I am concerned that the CCJ will affect my ability to move house and get a mortgage again in the next six years. Do you think the unusual circumstances of the CCJ, my otherwise clean credit record and the small amount of money will help my cause in a few years? Or will I be screwed by the 'computer says no' mentality of a lot of lenders?

The CCJ is on your record and will cause some issues with some lenders.
On the positive side the size of the CCJ is modest enabling lenders to take a view where they are of a mind to do so.

Hi amnblog, thanks for your reply. Were a lender to lend to me, would the difficulties I face be limited to paying a higher rate, or would there be further issues?0

A CCJ reflects the attitude of many borrowers. Disappear off the radar. It's only a small sum. The list goes on.on the basis that the court papers went to the wrong address
They didn't. They were served on the last known address. Legally correct. Hence why resolving debt issues is more important than ever. As you are now finding out.0
