Anybody who has seen my previous post will know I'm hopefully after a Mortgage next Summer after previous bad credit....
Is there Mortgages that help you 'do the house up with'?
Thinking about buying a shed of a house and doing it up as I'm a Joiner and could easy do the rest.....
Can any body advice doing it this way?
Is it a good way to keep building money and moving up?
Cheers Jambo5

No. There isn't.
You'll be able to borrow upto 95% of a property which is suitable security for a mortgage and that's it.
The cost of any essential repairs will be dealt with by retention. That's money held back from the mortgage at purchase, you have to make up by increasing your deposit.I am a mortgage broker.
