Help - CPN - Car Parking Partnership at work

Hi,
I work in a hospital and on 19 November (meant to post this sooner). I couldn't find a bay to park in at work, and parked next to a bay, with the intention of going out to move it and got sidetracked by work. Many people used to park here prior to the car park being managed by CPP. When I returned to my car I had received a CPN on my windscreen.
I have previously had dealings with Parking Eye and ignored them, but I believe the law has changed since then.
I have heard stories at work of people who haven't paid (as many as 6 times) or have appealed and won.
I am going to send the appeals letter in today, but wondered if anyone had any advice? I have had a look around the site but there is so much info I am a little confused by it all.
Also my colleagues fine blew off her car and she received a NtK, can she appeal?
Thank you

Yes - you and your friend can appeal (in fact she's at the stage to appeal, NTK, and you are NOT!). Read the NEWBIES 'sticky' (info and FAQS) thread near the top of this forum. If not sure how to get back to page one to see the sticky threads at the top, use the FORUM JUMP on the right now, and click GO. Then read the NEWBIES thread, gives you the letter of appeal for your friend to send in response to the NTK
You are NOT at that stage yet so don't read the silly deadline for the driver to appeal and the 'discount' (LOL!). You will be appealing as KEEPER at NTK stage around the New Year. All explained in the sticky thread.
And never ignore ParkingEye, I hope your PCN from them wasn't within the last 2 years as they have been known to sue people later on. Have those letters dried up?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, I sent an appeal in today, hope it doesn't screw things up.
I will pass the details onto my colleague. Thanks.
Oh it was probably about 2 and half years ago at a guess, we never acknowledged them just held our nerve and kept ignoring the fake solicitor letters and they stopped after a while.
I think with CPP that ultimately they go to our NHS Trust at some point if people appeal. It's ridiculous, I think 3 people in our team have had a fine now, and our team only has 7 people in!
Thanks for your advice.0 -

Thanks for your advice.
None of the people in your team have had a fine.
Don't for one minute think it is anything of the sort.0 -
Brightpinkspark, have you checked how your other teammates who had their tickets much earlier than you got on? Their exoeriences can give you a bit of confidence about your situation.
I would like to seek the advice of those of you who had tickets before.
I had a CPN on my windscreen in Sainsbury carpark in Eltham issued by Car Parking Partnership on 1Dec. I did overstayed so I wanted to pay off the notice even though I finding it very expensive.
I had been trying to pay online and via phone on 1,2 and 3 Dec. Both online and automated phone call say I need to wait at least 24hours. It is obviously more than 48hours now but when I try to pay, I always get the prompt they can't retrieve the amount and I should check that I have typed in the right numbers.
There are no phone numbers or email for me to ask for clarification and writing to a PO Box is not something I am keen to do to reveal any personal number or address for them to contact as reading around, CPP is not a nice organisation.
My question is 'can I ignore the notice?' Or what should I do?
Any advice or past experiences is much appreciated
Many thanks0 -
Sorry for hijacking this thread.
I guess like Brightpinkspark, I really want to know what to do and stop losing sleep over this thing. I don't know anyone around me who had this sort of ticket and not pay so I am getting a bit scared as the deadline draws closer.0 -

And please tell your silly colleagues (if any have been daft enough to pay) that we win v CPP at POPLA 100% of the time, have done for two years since POPLA started. This is dead easy you know.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
