Bank of Ireland and credit files

Hi all,
I've just logged on to my credit expert file and there are 4 new recorded searches by Bank of Ireland.
This has knocked my score, and I know it's only relevant to me, from 982 excellent to 901 good.
Why has it had such an impact? Nothing else has changed.
If this mortgage falls through this could have a major affect on my next application right?

an 81 point drop will probably mean you're mortgage will cost you 81% more over the term....probably.
or it could mean nothing.

I just assumed that whilst the score is irrelevant it probably takes similar things into account that a AIP would.
It's hard not to overthink things as a FTB.0 -
Each AIP runs its own score based that lender's algorithm - these vary dramatically between lenders and their individual policies (and can even vary daily for the same lender).
Yours is an absolute demonstration of how unimportant and irrelevant CRA scores are. I very much doubt that the searches you refer to will have any noticeable impact for most lenders.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thank you for the advice.
Well BoI have requested proof we have no debt. I guess that's a good sign because they could have just declined by now.0
