there must be 2 items that add up to £500, i have managed to work out 2 items that comes to £499.98 but am scouring the system making a note of all items in argos to find some that are not .99

They have had a lot of half price deals going this week, so there's quite a few items that are costing less than usual...

Every item i click on ends in 99p so the best I'll ever do is £499.98 (assuming two items). Nearest I got was yesterday at £499.97 (3 items).

The winners list suggest furthest away winner was 2p out so looks like the 99p items can see you through but most recent winners were £500 spot on so if that trend continues then might luck out.

I guess highly likely that the competition is wise to this an only chucks out a small number of non 99p items so it doesn't have lots of winners

Bah Humbug! We have discovered that some players are using methods to get round the time limit on our game so they can get to exactly £500. Any entry found to have used these methods will be automatically disqualified from winning.
