repossession help

hi, too cut a very long story short, i find myself in the position of having to take back control of my ex's house, as its about to be repossessed and my name is still on the mortgage, he cant pay the arrearrs and neither can i, but i can pay the mortgage and some towards clearing the arrears, i am sure that the judge would accept that, but how do i go about it as i dont want to pay the solicitors, uness anyone know a good solicitor who does not want to charge £450 to help deal with this. i can compete the n244 form or whatever its called, but someone with experience would helpme right now
please only reply with helpful solutions and not disrespectful opinions please, this has already caused a great deal of pain and suffering, thanks all

If you intend to represent yourself. Then get everything down on paper. You income, your expenditure. Your proposal as to how the arrears will be cleared. In essence be totally prepared.

Remember the court won't be interested in the why's or wherefores. Keep calm and keep a reign on your emotions.
  • the n244 form is asking the following
"what order are you asking the court to make and why?"
i am going to ask to suspend the eviction, but what would i write to answer "why".
any help as i dont want it rejected on something silly like this, i was going to put that i am able to afford the payment and extra to clear the arrears and therefore i should be given the chance to do so, what do you think?, thanks
