I got a diff question: In what year were the Star Wars action figures the must-have toy for Christmas?

    1977
    1991
    1974
    1979

I think the answer must be 1979, as Wiki says they "sold from 1978 to 1985" (edit: but see discussion below - thanks guys)

Re which number to click on the advent, I ignore the actual date/numbers, and click on the one that's highlighted whether that's today or yesterday's number. It's always led me to the right day's comp so far.

could be either blu found this

The four figures that were first brought out in the Sears Cantina set were released for individual sale with a further four figures later in 1978, bringing the total number of figures to 20. Demand for the action figures and accessories was such that Kenner continued to have difficulty fulfilling demand. Shortages of the toys in the lead up to Christmas 1978 lead some to claim that Kenner were deliberately manipulating the market.[8] Sales of Kenner's Star Wars range in 1978 reached 40 million units, accounting for a turnover of $100 million.[9]

Sales in 1979 again topped $100 million.[9] Kenner continued to introduce waves of action figures from the sequels and in 1984, the year following the release of Return of the Jedi, the range totalled 79 unique character designs.

Also thanks Blu and robbies_gal; I'd seen different sources saying that answer so naturally assumed it was that. Apologies if the answer I gave was wrong to everyone who entered with it.

That was the answer last year - see HERE

PS. Last year the answer for Star Wars was 1977 based on http://www.today.com/id/40059786/ns/today-today_news/t/must-have-toy-hits-christmases-past/ The "Must Have" toys are usually the ones you can't buy in the shops at Christmas such as Furby's in '98 and Wii in '06. They sell far more the following year.

    Day 9

    https://www.uk2.net/offers/christmas-competition/

    The question I got was:

What service does UK2 give free with every domain name

    Free wordpress tutorials
    Free christmas cake
    Free dedicated server
    Free website (InstantWebsite)

Sos, but I find this comp really confusing, so I'm going to wimp out and let someone who knows better than me come up with the answer. Assuming others get the same question.
