Before I start I've read the newbie thread but like alot of people, find it a bit confusing but I've tried.
I'm not looking for someone to spoon feed me the help needed but to advise me and point me in the right direction to get this sorted.
I received a letter from Park Direct with regard to a PCN dated September. Then a second letter from DRP because it hadn't been paid.
This is where it becomes tricky. I couldn't tell you when the letter was delivered as I no longer live at the address and neither is the vehicle registered at the address. I only got the letters recently due to being in the area and checking to see if any post had been deliver by mistake as things take time to change over. The vehicle was re-registered before the ticket was issued but still to wrong address. I also haven't received any evidence of the infringement (i.e pictures).
My questions are.......
1) Do I play dumb and ignore the letters as not receiving them?
2) How should I approach this if I don't play dumb?
I'm more then happy to ignore but it doesn't really solve the problem and there's not much info in #4 of the newbie thread to really offer any advice even after a search of 'findings' as advised.
Hopefully someone can help advise me with this so I can finish it and move on.
Thanks in advance!

Newbies thread still applies, exactly the same, as they have no invoked Keeper Liability, as the keeper hasn't been served.0

In simple terms? Sorry for asking a stupid question but for once I can't get my head round it all!
I take it you mean I need to contact them using the POPLA template etc?
The date is irrelevant I take it?
Thanks for the reply though.0 -

You could send the 'first appeal' template late, to ParkDirect, but they won't give you a POPLA code this late. But on balance, I still WOULD send it (but not to DRP). The reason being it includes a 'drop hands offer' and a Notice of Cancellation, both of which are potentially useful later if defending a small claim.
There isn't a 'POPLA template' you can use. You won't get POPLA; that boat sailed when you ignored the first letter, against forum advice, which changed 2 years agoPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your help!
Think you may have mis-read or I may not have explained. I didn't ignore the letter, it went to my previous address hence why I've only just picked it up meaning I have missed the date, not ignored. Which is why I'm caught with how I should approach.
I'll do that then, send the first appeal.....is it worth mentioning the change of address hence late receipt of letter?
Whatever happens I don't want to be paying it!0 -
Aww sorry, I did skim read! Have you not advised the DVLA about the change of registered keeper address then? This is very important to do, it's not the same as changing your Driving Licence address. You must ensure your V5 has the right address if you could get a real fine from the DVLA!
OK what I would try is what I will pm to you. Check your messages soon.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yep like I said DVLA was informed before the PNC was issued.
I'll check my messages.0
