Through your letterbox you shout "!!!!!! off she doesn't live here any more and the people who sold you the debt were told that, if you keep harassing me i'll call the police"0 -
If any scumbag DCA turnd up, just laugh at them and invite them to leave your property immediatly.
All letters should go back in the post as "RTS not known at this address"0 -
Doorstep visits are very rare, as they are not cost effective.
Bailiffs can only be instructed if there is a defaulted court judgement, and most of these cases don't go through court, they just get sold on to debt collection agencies.
Even with a court order, as these would be consumer credit act debts, only the court bailiffs could be used and these are salaried employees of the court and don't generally misbehave.0 -
Also, being consumer credit act debts (as opposed to criminal fines, Income Tax or Stamp Duty), they have no power to force entry.0

Basically, just throw the letters in the Recycle bin.
Not your debt, not your problem, and never will be, no matter how many letters are sent, or who turns up at your door.
Any and all debts have to be proved if/when asked to do so, if it aint yours, it never will be.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Why are you getting hot under the collar about these letters coming to your home? And why are you opening and reading them?
Any letters coming to your address that are not for you should be reposted unopened with the words "Not known at this address" or "Gone Away" written on the envelope.
When I moved to my address four years ago I was receiving mail for several people but by doing as above they all stopped eventually."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I've been here over 5 years and, while sending them back marked "NOT AT THIS ADDRESS." has reduced the number of letters to previous occupiers, it hasn't stopped them completely.0

I had this problem recently; my son was getting letters from Lowell, even though he had moved out some years ago. I opened one letter and wrote to the complaints department stating that he definitely did not live here(they could check the electoral register), and would they please stop sending letters. Lowell then put the official complaints procedure in place, and some weeks later accepted my son no longer lived there, and true to their word stopped sending letters. Might be worth trying that strategy.0

The only positive action you need to take is to check on your credit reference agency files that she has no financial association with you. Then as others have said write "not known at this address" and return to sender.0
