Mouse your cursor over the beautiful painting of the Great Hall and the Sorting Hat scene from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone* until you find the secret window of the day. Be sure to mouse slowly over the entire drawing. (**NOTE: WILL NOT WORK ON MOBILE DEVICES**).
Hover over the hidden image and read the hidden written clue.
Use both the hidden image clue and the hidden written clue to figure out the day’s special webpage. The hidden page can be found on the main MuggleNet website or on the Alohomora!, MuggleNet Fan Fiction, or MuggleNet Interactive websites.
SEARCH, SEARCH, and SEARCH some more until you find the special page and location.
When you find the page, you will see a CONGRATULATIONS! message that houses the day’s complex trivia question. When you figure out the answer to the question, click the red button to go back to the Advent Page and look BELOW the image for the Rafflecopter entry form. Enter ALL of the information provided along with your correct answer. Any submissions with wrong answers will be disregarded. (Firefox web browser may not display the Rafflecopter entry form properly – please use another web browser).
You MUST use a valid email address for us to contact you.
This year, you can receive multiple entries every day by sharing the contest on Social Media and following the instructions within the Rafflecopter.

Is anyone having luck with this advent? I find it so confusing...

I get the secret window and the words from hovering over the pic, but have no idea how to use them to find the secret website/trivia question. Please tell me it's not just me :o

    I'm just as confused, lmao.
  • I think I've finally worked this one out. The clue you get when you hover over the picture leads you to a page of the Mugglenet site. Today it's some figures holding up the letters DIY so the correct page on Mugglenet is Potter DIY http://www.mugglenet.com/fans-fun/potter-diy/

Today's question is "What does Luna Lovegood wear round her neck" and the answer is Butterbeer Corks.

Put the answer on the form along with the house you picked when you signed up to Mugglenet.

I hope that makes sense!! :)

Top wins - Florida holiday, North Carolina holiday, Sky TV for a year, wine for a year

Thanks to all who post and good luck to everyone!!:rotfl:

All you do when you have found the daily picture clue and the words is go back to the main website and look for an area on the site that is related to the clue; e.g. on Tuesday the picture clue was a large "W" and the written clue was something to do with the weird sisters playing - if you search the main Mugglenet site you will see an area called "Wizard Rock" - the Weird Sisters were the rock group that played at the Yule ball - if you had gone to this area you would have found the question and a link to take you back so you could enter the answer.
You just need to search the main site for an area related to the picture and verbal clue. It's a lot of palaver but not actually that difficult and today's area is particularly obvious once you have the verbal clue.
Just have a look at the names of the areas on the main Mugglenet site.

Thank you ForeverChanges and scousebird for your clear explanations! Hopefully it will be as simple to figure out tomorrow. I was sad I was missing out on my daily dose of Harry Potter trivia :D
