Which Android phone would you recommend?

Hi everyone.

I'm getting fed up with my iPhone and want to go back to Android.

I have a budget of £100-£150.

What would you recommend for that price?

I had a Galaxy S3 before I smashed the screen and don't really want another Samsung (I get bored of phones easily...:o)

Moto g or moto g 4g , both within your budget

    There's a mk1 moto g with a smaller screen than the mk2 , mk1 is the older model

Moto g is easy to unlock to any network with a code off ebay for £2

I've swapped from an iPhone to a moto g 4g and not missing the iPhone

I think this is the best within your budget

Personally: go Windows ...... MUCH more "user-friendly". ;)
Carphone Warehouse Lumia 735 @ £150 - or Lumia 635 @ £70 is equivalent to Moto G AND cheaper.
Oh and before anyone says "apps" ...... there's LOADS more in W8 than there used to be.
Useable apps, not just loads of tat.
  • Agree with the OP on Samsung's switched from HTC windows to a S4 mini. Was ok to start with but half the memory was taken up with bloatware. All downloaded apps have been switched to my SD card but all I seem to be getting now are shortage of memory warnings. Unable to delete any pre installed apps without following some 20 minute you tube video and messing around in areas where I have no knowledge at all. Oh and I dropped it about 2ft and put a crack across the top corner of the screen, first time ever i've had a screen crack on me.

Never been an Apple fan but my next phone definitely won't be a Samsung.

Possibly back to HTC and Windows.
  • Agree with the comments on Samsung my S4 will be my last samsung..3 batteries in 18 months and it wiped my sd card of all my photos...cant wait for my contract to end

I have the Samsung Galaxy s4 mini as well and dropped it only 1 foot screen cracked. battery is useless have just ordered a new higher capacity one hopefully last longer.

I had the iPhone and they are great but I really can't get on with the keyboard that's why I love Android as I use touchpal and type the old way in T9 where you have the numbers I'm so much faster that way.

I was thinking of selling my Samsung and buying a Sony but wasn't to sure if any better.

someone suggested to me the Vodafone turbo 4 I think it looks pretty good and at a great price
have now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving

Another recommendation for the Moto G. It's been dropped from various heights on hard and soft surfaces no cracks or dings. Easy to unlock... Used relentlessly and still going strong. It will have it's first birthday in 8 days time.

Love my Motorola G. The battery lasts for ages and I find it easy to use.
