it would be worth it if you could work and earn at least £260 a month.

You can claim WTC as a single person if you do over a certain number of hours, I think it's 21 per week. Also in the WTC is a disability component worth just over £2000 p.a. this year which you'll get, like I do, because you're restricted in what you can do.

    Hi
Thanks for your reply,s i do have a husband who earns arround £19,000, so thats why i wondered if it was worth me losing sda to just do a few hours of work a week obviously i coudn,t jump in and do full time at first with my disability. So with my hubby earning is there nothing that i could get to get me back into work, (hope you can understand what im saying lol).
    Thanks

If you have a husband who is working you can still put in a claim and get something as he is working fulltime and it's a joint thing. You'd still get the disability component, from what I can work out, even if you don't get anything else.

At the end of the day though, if you can manage on the lower income, it's worth doing just to save your sanity. Money isn't everything.

Just as an aside, the Jobcentre have schemes to help disabled back into work such as a letter they give you to take with you to interviews which states they'll pay the employer £60 a week for 3 months. Might be enough to swing an interview.
