Lowell/Bryan Carter CCJ application for statute barred debt

Morning all
My partner received a letter from Northampton County Court stating that Bryan Carter have applied for a CCJ on behalf of Lowells for a debt we are sure is Statute barred.
We have not paid any monies or signed anything stating acknowledgement of this debt for well over 7 years.
We have just purchased our house and have both got really good credit reports so this will be a major kick in the teeth seeing as we have spent years getting ourselves straight.
We plan to appeal this but we are unsure what to do. On the letter we received it states that we can enter a defence online by using the case number and unique password. What would be a good way of wording our defence in this instance?
Also is there anything I should be sending to Bryan Carter/Lowell?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry for being a bit thick but I'm seeing lots of posts which give templates of letters and different numbers etc. I really don't know what I'm looking at.
If possible could one of you nice people please guide me through this process. I need to submit a defence to the court online but I don't know how to word it.
As always any help is appreciated. We are tying ourselves in knots here.0 -
Your defence is its statute barred.
I'm no expert in these matters.
If you follow the link Rizla gave you, legal beagles is another forum that are experts in defending claims against the likes of Lowells.
Alternatively, National debtline will be able to advise what you should do:

As the others say, your defence is the debt is statute barred.
Include as much detail as possible.
