Quick question about invalid ccj and mortgage application with NW

Hi guys,
Was wondering if I could pick your brain please?
Me and my partner have a mortgage application with Natwest this morning and we are unsure about something.
In January this year, we applied for a mortgage with natwest but it got suddenly declined because of a CCJ which appeared on my partners file in error.
The CCJ was quickly wiped off but at that point, we accepted to leave it at few months and save a better deposit - so, here we are!
Couple of questions...
When Natwest ask, have you ever had a CCJ, do we say yes or just say no? (My partners equifax has no sign off there ever being a CCJ on there)
Will our application be affected by that dud CCJ?
Thanks in advance!

You seem to imply that you partner never had a CCJ (ie issued by the Court against him/her). In which case the honest answer is you have never had a CCJ. The fact that there was a temporary admin error in the credit file is irrelevant.0 -
It wasn't so much an administration error as fraud, I guess that's the most accurate description.
When my partner moved out of her old tenancy, the water company did not remove her name from the address (the water company admitted fault) and the new tenant built up a nice bill in my partners name (the Tennant admitted fault and paid the bill immediately).
The CCJ was removed in about a week0 -
It is not on the file - it should not have been there in the first place. You can legitimately answer 'no'.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks, will they see it on their system from our last application though? Both have been with natwest0
