Argh, really annoyed with myself - have a pack of unopened frankfurter style sausages in the fridge which I thought had ages on their date still - now I look and it seems they have a use by of end of Oct. My own fault for not checking but I assumed as they were vacuum sealed, they'd be good for a while.
Would anyone brave them or just chuck them and resolve to check dates more closely in future? Haven't really got time for food poisoning before xmas

If they are vacuum packed then air cannot get to them, plus you kept them in a cold place, so I would open them and sniff them. If they don't smell off and haven't got a green furry coat they should be ok. Just make sure they are heated through properly. One life - your life - live it!0

Oh please don't, he would be your friend for life - you'd never get rid of him!
I think you should be ok because it's only a few weeks, and your eyes and nose will tell you if they're ok or not.
