Update! The mysterious £1 I found was a payment I made to another bank account of my own - don't ask! Perhaps I had £9 in there and wanted to make a nice round £10.
So it WASNT to them!
I've phoned carters and asked for the exact date which they said was 11/02/2010 - checked my bank statement - guess what - no payment to them on that date or any date that month! I asked the lady if she could tell me how it was paid - she said she didn't have that info.
She then said - can I ask if you have had help under a debt management company?
I said no, and she stuttered a bit and said - oh never mind - and seemed like she had said something she shouldn't!

They obviously think you are clueless, which is good for you.

I have put that in my defends when I responded online (hate posting forms!) I've got statements from both of my banks I had in 2010 to prove no payment was made to them. I don't know what happens next? So I sit and wait to see what I get through in return?0

I would go here to ask for help http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/forumdisplay.php?105-Received-a-Court-Claim Seems to be a lot of people there who are also seeing Lowells and others invent payments to try to con you and the courts into thinking a debt isnt statute barred. Think that is the best place for info on how to fight it.Still rolling rolling rolling......
