Google Nexus 7 is the best tablet of that size on the market and is significantly cheaper. Or the nexus 9 is the best on the market but a slightly bigger tablet, similar to the normal iPad.
If you do want to waste your money on an inferior product with an apple sticker on it the iPad mini 2 is the better of the two you mentioned but there is also an iPad mini 3 which is better still (still not as good as the Google Nexus range) but requires wasting even more money!"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
