booking fee refund

Hi

My term for a mortgage product was coming to a end, and I changed the product with the same lender and paid a booking fee of £250.00 a couple of weeks back, and the new product (rate) kicks in February 2015. I am still on the old product at the moment.

I just found out the lender has now dropped the booking fee for this product and made it fee free.

Am I entitled to get this booking fee refunded or can I cancel my product change, and then reapply fee free?

You'll have to ask but most have a non refundable booking fee.

Usually non-refundable but you might as well ask.

A few years ago, the booking fee on a product we applied for then dropped from £999 to £99. :mad:

Just to update everyone, they said no - booking fees are non refundable.
