A duvet for Christmas

I've been asked to shop around and find a 15 tog goose down duvet for a Christmas present.
I've checked John Lewis and M&S but can't see any there; 13.5 tog seems to be their max
Any ideas? I'm chasing a top range one so brand names as well as suppliers would be welcome.
As always many thanks for your help
Kevin

Quick google search brings up Dunelm mill do one.
Or next
Or very. Co.uk
Or amazon
Or the duvet store.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
I think a quality duvet for Christmas is a brilliant idea!
Not that I need one. I use 2 x 13.5 tog duvets and am very happy with my own genius.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Achica do really lovely duvets, I managed to get a kingsize feather and down for £25 (although it was 13.5 tog)
They currently have a 15 tog for £72 (double) if that helps?
Good luck in your quest xSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

By the way is either the Duck or the Goose a 'better' duvet? What is the difference?

Think I might give them a miss after reading a few replys on Mumsnet

The better is one with more down and less 'feathers'.
John Lewis probably do them too if you have one near you....and Fenwicks.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Well, I can only speak from experience, and I have never had any problems with Achica. Each to their ownSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0

We got a silk duvet late last spring. So far we're loving it over anything else we've used. Its not been tested in the coldest weather, but just as others have suggested we have said if its not warm enough ( I get very cold indeed) we'd add another to the bed.
Visually its very different, as they are much thinner, so less 'poofy'0 -
I've been doing some searching online and it looks like the vast majority of duvets are coming in at 13.5 tog; it's difficult, though not impossible, to get a down or a down and feather one at 15 tog. Any idea why this should be?
From the research I've carried out since my original post Hungarian Goose Down Duvets seem to be the market leaders.
Pricing seems to be strange to, for example I was looking at
Siberian Goose Down Duvet - Super King Size. 15 tog was coming in at £695.00 while a100% Hungarian Goose Down Duvet 15 Tog super king size can be had for £209. The only difference I can see is the location of the Goose Down. Is the tog value not a measurement of warmth and from a practical point of view all 15 tog duvets should produce the same warmth. Yes/No?
Seems strange, anyone in the business explain why?And NO! the budget doesn't stretch to £700 odd !!!Again thanks or your continued help and advice.

I was looking at a silk one the other day on line......I like them to be quite 'poofy' though......:D .....so maybe that's not for me.
Why do you like it over others out of curiosity?
In fact I like putting two into one cover so it's really 'poofy'....cat hates it though as can't work out where her paws are going to end up....lol.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D.......
