Just purchased myself a brand new mercedes (not so money saving!!) therefore had to use up alot of this months salary to contribute so was only able to save £200 this month.
£4500 total saved so far.. still on track for the 10k as plannedSaving for a house deposit :beer:0 -
June payday and a bit of a surprise today in that I had a 'bit' of a bonus from work - £7,635 A lot of hard work paid off today!!!!!! It's something I was half expecting but didn't want to count my chickens until the money was in my account.....I'm chuffed to say the least!
Anyway, it is siphoned off into the savings already! I have kept a little bit aside to spend, whats the point in not enjoying at least some of it! Suddenly i'm over 100% target for 2015 but I will be continuing to ensure I can save as much between now and the end of the year....

This has been an expensive month with unexpected costs but still happy to declare £533.42 saved for this month. I'm officially over the half way point to my overall £6000 goal and relieved that I'm still on target to meet it at the moment.Homeowner:j0

Goddamn, how much must people be on/how low mortgage payments to save £12k/year :f
At a push I think I could save £10k but that's if I don't overpay the mortgage

My rent is £400/month for a room in a house share I hate! I am doing a lot of staying in so I can get a mortgage. I think 6k a year would be a challenge then, so that's what I'll aim for as a home owner. We're all different, I'm trying to get where you are so the numbers alone don't mean much. :rotfl:Mortgage overpayments 2018: £4602, 2019: £7870
Mortgage overpayments 2020: £4620

Oh dear, a big fat zero for me, and it will be the same next month. I've finally addressed the issue of my spare bedroom and redecorated with a new bed, carpet, fitted wardrobes and telly, and while at it, recarpeted another 2 rooms. It's cost a bit, but I keep walking into it to admire
- it's like having a new, extra room rather than a glory hole. It's also made me throw loads of stuff out to clear the decks.
My target this year was £10k, with the intention of saving £13k or else spending £3k on the house, so hopefully I can make up after July. I've still got imminent dental work for £2500  to pay for yet though, and a weekend away in a couple of weeks...Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Hi all,
Declaring £500 for June (which is my monthly target :-) ) so far have stayed on track for the past 3 months which I am amazingly proud of!
Just found a route to get to work which means I do not have to go through zone 1 anymore, which will start saving me an extra £100pm in peak. Will try and do some off peaks also and use the gym near work that I haven't been using (oops) so next month I upping my target to £600pm
DDxStarted again 25th December 2017
Current tracking - £7,955.84/ £18,282.25 to pay off. (31.12.19)0 -
