Estee Lauder Double Wear Alternatives

Evening all!
I have been using EL double wear for a while but am finding it too cakey at the moment. Can anyone recommend any decent alternatives please that give good coverage and last, without looking too mask like.
I have tried Revlon colourstay - it didn't! And, although I like the finish on no 7 beautiful matte, it hardly lasts the morning. Not too bothered about price if it works.
Thank you!

How about Double Wear Light? Its same staying power as original but just lighter coverage.
I loved it and it gives an amazing coverage that lasts ages but sadly my skin breaks out with it, though i've not heard anyone complain about this before.
Have you tried setting your foundation with a powder, I really like the rimmel stay matte its super cheap and the exact same as mac setting powder.0 -
I second double wear light. I also suggest maybe using a primer; I have ridiculously oily skin and after a lot of trial and error I've found that benefit porefessional, the smashbox photo finish primer or the max factor one all help things stay in place a bit longer and help things appear smoother. Maybe you need to adjust the way you apply your foundation too? I switch it up between a flat top kabuki, a beauty blender sponge, a stippling brush and my fingers.
There is also Mac Pro-longwear and Bobbi Brown long wear that you might consider trying (I'm quite fond of the Mac to be honest).Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
There is another thread on this not so long ago think the OP got Revlon in the end and was happy with it.0

All my friends who used to be double wear fanatics now use Senna makeup. My sister used it on me last weekend and I loved it. I think you can buy it online or from beauticians.0

I used to use Double Wear
I agree it felt a bit too heavy in the end.
I am currently loving YSL Touche Eclat Foundation
It is a similar price point to Double Wear and is that little bit more moisturising but with excellent coverage0 -
Have you tried mixing the original DW with some moisturiser to lighten it?, you can use a plain one or one that addresses any issues you have for example a green one to combat redness or I use strobe cream to combat dullness0

I like Mac Sudio Fix or Smashbox 15hr. Can't remember the full name of the Smashbox one, but it's lovely. It's £28, Studio Fix is £22.50.0
