An update, AKA if your mortgage takes a while, don't give up hope . . .

Thought I'd post this as a follow up to a thread I started in June:
I can't post links here, but the thread reference is 5006101 - just replace that in the URL.
I was looking to tidy up a bit of a mess I'd made.
Anyway, upshot is I got the money yesterday, via a Halifax Mortgage, so the story ends well, but . . .
I started the application progress on the 28th of August this year. It took 3 months to get it done! Imagine if I'd just been buying a house? No chance. I had to provide an absolute ton of data, answer endless questions, chase them up 2 or 3 times for answers to simple queries. All in all a lot of work.
Anyway, the point I'm making here is that you shouldn't assume because things don't seem to be happening that they aren't. I got this done despite a complicated set of circumstances, through a mainstream lender at normal commercial rates, by somewhat bugging the living daylights out of them.
Hope this gives some comfort to people in the 'will I get it' thread'!
