Will getting her on council tax bill link us for credit?
Not likely. I thought only joint banking would link you financially.
You wont have a chance with you both applying for a help to buy as you need a squeaky clean credit history. So apply in her name and get a deed of trust.
Hope this helps.0 -
It's possible that by sharing an address with you on the electoral roll that there could be a financial association created, however she can 'financial disassociate' herself from you with the credit reference agencies to prevent this - there is a form, I believe, on the respective websites for Experian, Equifax and Call Credit.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice.0
