Lowell full and final settlement

Hi all, I have three defaulted accounts within the last 2-3 years which are now with Lowell, I owe around £1709 to them.
I'm not disputing what I owe by any means and have been making payments, however I mentioned to them this evening that my circumstances have changed and that this will no longer be affordable.
They then started to discuss the possibility of a final settlement which is what I want to do but how do I go about doing it?
Why is everyone making threads about Lowell? Am I missing something here?
How can one act responsibility to try and sort out the mess he is in?
Many thanks all.

Yes read it. Many thanks.
I've no doubt the debts are mine. I want to do the responsible thing, they emailed me an official letter stating this is the final payment for all of the debts.
I want to do the right thing!!0 -
Lowell are normaly straight up and fair agency, I know people tha had emails and been fine. Proud to hear someone taking responsability rather than the wont pay cant be bothered teamDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And they can also be down right dis-honest too.
What ever agreement you reach with them OP, make sure you have it in writing that the offer you make is in full and final settlement of the account, and you will not be chased for any remaining balance, by them, or any of there agents.
Then keep this in an extremely safe place for at least 6 years, so if it comes back to bite you sometime in the future, you have your evidence.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
