How many months wage slips required for mortgage application

I am looking into getting a mortgage to buy a property but have recently started a new job so I am just wondering what the usual criteria is regarding how many months payslips I will need to provide when I do a mortgage application.

Varies from lender to lender.
Minimum one, usual maximum three, particularly if you want variable earnings taken into account.I am a mortgage broker. It's totally dependent on the lender, along with their individual lending criteria i.e. if you have a high LTV/small deposit they may want to ask for more. We only had to provide 3 months' worth but some people have to provide 6.0

Also, if you are in a probationary period, that can be a problem with some lenders.
