Cavity Wall Ties and Repointing Needed

Hi Everyone

We need an estimate for cavity wall tie replacement and the re-pointing of a wall at the back of our house.

We live in East Belfast, can anyone recommend someone who can do this sort of work.

Although we don't want to pay loads, our decision on who to go with will depend more on reputation/quality of work than price.

Can anyone help?

we had them quote for something similar a few years ago. WAY over the estimate of anyone else and a lot slicker.
Also, ensure that you actually need your cavity wall ties repaired. We had a surveyor advise that the cavity wall ties needed repaired in a house (1930s semi). When the walls were actually opened (due to extensive building work) the wall ties were actually fine, it was just that a poor job of repointing had been done.
Do ask around and request to speak to people and look at jobs done by the repointing people if at all possible. It seems to be fine art.

After an initial survey we got a further independent surveyor out who confirmed that this is what is needed done.

Anyone else any suggestions?
