Those who have invested in a ROG motherboards, may or maynot be aware that the VI version of the brand (i.e maximus VI gene, hero, etc) have to be bios updated properly in order to run the 4th gen haswell intel processors.

In order to upgrade your BIOS for the ROG ASUS Maximus VI version motherboard to be I3,I5,I7 4th gen haswell compliant and reliable, you will need to either FIRST Download the latest version of the 4th gen bios update tool then, download your latest bios version, (save to desktop for ease of location) then using the tool click browse...desktop....select the version of bios you just downloaded, then click OK...follow on screen propts from there (remember always back up your previous bios version incase something goes a stray with the current version) or save to USB drive and flash from usb using the botton on your mobo (no need to start up pc), or save new bios to usb press F2 or DEL upon start up screen enter uefi Bios and use EZ flashback and flash the bios from there.
