My dad was MF in March Just before hos 50th so I've vowed to beat him! I'm 27 now, currently paying a mortgage on my own but looking to move in a couple of years with my girlfriend, we both have well paid jobs (over 60k joint income) so should be able to afford quite a high payment/lower term. We'll be looking at getting a mortgage of around 150k using savings and the 40-50k equity I have in this house.

I was 30 and Wifey was 29 (Only started this year!) and hope to be MF by the time I'm 40. Just putting as much as we can afford to and are allowed to OP by, into the mortgage each month. Borrowed 105k in April - now at approx 97.5k!

Well Done! Very impressed with how people can become mortgage free before they are 50, not mentioning mid-thirties!

I'm 34 and dh 37, I'd love to MF before I'm 45. I'm not sure if we'll achieve it as we're doing work on the house as well as overpaying but even if it's before 50 I'll be happy as the kids will [STRIKE]hopefully[/STRIKE] have flown the nest and we'll be able to do the things we want to do (fingers crossed)
