Planning for life - Help please!

Hi there, I get really easily confused about credit and finance and things so was hoping for a small piece of advice on what direction to take.

I am 24, just finished uni, and at present since I was 18 I have or have had the following debts:

I currently have a £1400 RBS graduate overdraft which I pay in around £50 a month but regularly is taken out.

I have a £1000 Abbey National account which was opened when I was 18 at college, has been unused since Sept 2001 I think and is still registered to my old address I think.

I currently have a £440 debt to Littlewoods which I have been paying off at £110 a month

I have a Vanquis credit card with £250 limit, never been over or had a late payment, had for around 6 months.

I have a Natwest basic account, has about £7, not been used for over a year.

I have a Barclaycard with limit of £200, opened when I was 20, had problems with over the limit and payments in past but last year I have been fine and on time.

In December 2004 I had default put on my file from Capital one for a credit card, the debt has been paid in full.

Also had minor other debts which are all paid off , some have gone to debt recoveries others havent.

What is my best route to take in paying these off, and in particular what can i do about abbey national.

I have applied recently for a credit card, just a basic one but got declined, and also declined for a current account. this has promted me in to some action.

Please help!

Hi. Welcome. First thing to do is to post an SOA (statement of affairs) read Southern Scousers sticky for first time posters. From this we can advise you whether you're paying over the odds for bills/insurance/food etc and see if we can save you some money. This will see whether by cutting back you can afford the repayments currently or not- this will then help us to give you the best advice.
Also I would start a spending diary and see where you money is going - are you spending it on the 'odd' bar of chocolate/magazine/lunch at work/pint/cigarette pack/cd/piece of clothing. It's amazing how much just slips through our fingers.
Anyway I'm sure loads of other people will be along in a minute but thought I'd keep it short so as not to overwhelm you too much.
    Good Luck
