You and partner need do be in this together so you can both focus and work towards the same goal.
Try not to use credit card
Don't pay credit for anything (car insurance pay yearly not monthly)
Look at the tariff for phone, etc and maybe 'rationalise' luxuries (sky etc (that's a euphemism for cancel!!))
Daily reconcile you current account and don't spend if you have no money
Put any savings (for annualised bills etc) into highest earning account you can find and get benefit of compound interestDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -

Thanks for your advice much appreciated.
Have called sky and my ee to down grade price plans so have saved £10.00 in total not much but something. Also OH is going to help some more with bits so hopefully on my way.
