Hi there,
Not sure this is the right area at all so if not please move it. I am needing to get £500 to someone and I can either use Bank Transfer or give them the cash and get a receipt.
Not sure thought which is a safer way of doing it? I would think giving the cash and getting a receipt for it but wanted to see what you guys thought?
Thanks.

Hi AFK
When you say "safer", do you mean for you, the recipient or both? It's not clear whether this is money you are lending or gifting to the other party.

Hi Dennis,
Its money I am giving to pay for fitness training and thus there is no product as such. So I just want proof I have paid this guy to provide me with the training. I do trust the guy to give me the training but I would like proof that I paid for the training incase anything happens.
Thanks.0 -
Pay through the bank, there is always a space for a reference, where you could say
name-fitness training and then the amount.
Its more or less a receipt and certainly proof that you paid him that amount.
Paying by cash - receipts are too easily lost .make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Ok thanks McKneff, makes sense just wanted some reasurance lol.0

Sorry, late checking back in here. Yes absolutely agree with McKneff in that case - I deal all too often with cases where people have made life hard for themselves by not keeping a safe paper trail of monies paid/owed.
Not to mention I wouldn't want to be carrying £500 about my person!
