Vertigo when driving!?

I'm curious, does anyone else get vertigo when driving?
It can happen to me when I'm travelling uphill with bends, and more importantly there is a big drop to one side. The other side is up i.e. going along a mountain road.
I feel anxious, an almost panic - it's the drop below - I can see the valley floor, I become aware of how unguarded the side of the road is!
I find I have to tell myself to concentrate on the road ahead - don't look down.

Yes, I was a van driver when it first happened, several years ago. Avoided the particular road (Rhigos Mountain Road) it occurred on initially, but couldn't all the time - but after awhile got used to the road.
It doesn't make me 'dangerous' only perhaps a little slower and more careful. So, if we are on a country road (even if it's an 'A' road), sorry if your stuck behind me - I'd prefer to slow down when with a bend coming up, I don't know where the road is going next e.g. Hereford to Monmouth, but from then it's a dual carriageway and it's the outside lane doing 72 -77 - hurrah!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
